Some good news from the EU report on competitiveness published on Friday. The report analyses industrial competitiveness across the EU and presents policy measures adopted by Member States to improve their competitiveness. It show that Ireland is one of the top performers in Europe in terms of the labour productivity rate which was well above EU average and innovation where Ireland is part of a group with a share higher than 50% innovating companies within the country.

Hello and Welcome

Welcome to the Best of Ireland, where I hope to explore all that is great about this country. With all the doom and gloom around I think we sometimes forget that we as a nation still have reasons to be optimistic for the future. The aim of this blog is to highlight all things positive from the brave new startups emerging from the recession, to Ireland qualifying for the quarter finals of the rugby world cup!
